We are the only spa in Glen Allen and Richmond that offers Organic Medical Grade Microdermabrasions! We use only the purest Sodium Bicarbonate Crystals!

Our unique medical grade microdermabrasion system uses a high purity baking soda crystal as the abrasive. Sodium Bicarbonate is the most natural choice for microdermabrasion procedures. In addition to being antibacterial and antifungal, there are no negative side effects to our treatment! It is not only the safestoption on the market today, it is highly effective!
Sodium Bicarbonate vs. Aluminum Oxide
Aluminum Crystals have been documented to irritate the skin and throat, cause scratchy eyes, allergic reactions, respiratory problems and in some instances produce low-grade fevers. There are numerous studies published by various independent Health Journals and the US government about the health hazards associated with long-term exposure to fine aluminum oxide dust. Credible and unbiased information is widely available for anyone who really wants to know the truth about aluminum exposure risks. Microdermabrasion service providers that continue using aluminum oxide are increasingly finding themselves in an awkward position of having to defend its questionable safety record to an increasingly aware public.
Sodium Bicarbonate Crystals, on the other hand, are lighter, softer on the skin and less irritating. This natural composite achieves better results than aluminum oxide with none of the harsh side effects. As a matter of fact the sodium we use are alkaline, adding a natural pH balance to the clients skin while destroying bacteria on the epidermis. In addition, baking soda crystals are friendly to the skin and to the environment. They easily dissolve when they come into direct contact with moisture. Baking soda crystals do not leave undissolved particles trapped in pores or follicles. Any post-treatment residue easily blends in with body chemistry and tones the skin.
Unlike cosmetic surgery and other invasive skin enhancing treatments, which cost thousands of dollars, microdermabrasion is just a fraction of the cost. Microdermabrasion can improve or eliminate superficial skin problems. This skin rejuvenation procedure stimulates the production of new skin cells that contain higher levels of collagen and elastin which further improve the skin’s appearance. As cell turnover is increased and a more youthful appearance is achieved.

First 48 Hours
Your skin has a greater need for soothing, nourishing products. We recommend Eminence Organic products recommended for post treatment for best results. Apply sunscreen formulated for the face.

Daily Care
Remember: Cleanse, Moisturize and Protect!
You may apply makeup immediately after your treatment but all makeup applicators must be brand new.
You may continue your regular skin care regimen after a treatment. However, you may find that you are sensitive to products that you usually use and tolerate well. If your skin becomes sensitive to a product you should discontinue its use for 2-3 days.
Cleanse, moisturize and protect.
You must be committed to staying out of the sun and wearing sunscreen during the course of your treatments. Your skin will burn very quickly and will also be more prone to developing damage in response to the sun.
IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ALWAYS APPLY
SPF 30 OR HIGHER SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY.
Before Next Treatment
If you are undergoing a series of microdermabrasion treatments, remember to discontinue Alpha Hydroxy Acid products and retinoid use at least three (3) days before your next appointment. It is strongly suggested that you do not have injections (collagen or Botox) 7-10 days before your treatment.
