What is microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is the most natural way to safely exfoliate the skin without the use of chemicals. We take it a step further and offer an advanced medical grade system that uses bicarbonate crystals in lieu of aluminum oxide crystals that have been linked to multiple health concerns. Unlike cosmetic surgery and other invasive skin enhancing treatments, which cost thousands of dollars, microdermabrasion is just a fraction of the cost. Microdermabrasion can improve or eliminate superficial skin problems. This skin rejuvenation procedure stimulates the production of new skin cells that contain higher levels of collagen and elastin which further improve the skin’s appearance. As cell turnover is increased and a more youthful appearance is achieved.

Why baking soda?

We use bicarbonate crystals for all our microdermabrasion treatments. Sodium Bicarbonate Crystals, are lighter, softer on the skin and less irritating. This natural composite achieves better results than aluminum oxide with none of the harsh side effects. As a matter of fact the sodium we use is alkaline, adding a natural pH balance to the clients skin while destroying bacteria on the epidermis. In addition, baking soda crystals are friendly to the skin and to the environment. They easily dissolve when they come into direct contact with moisture. Baking soda crystals do not leave undissolved particles trapped in pores or follicles. Any post-treatment residue easily blends in with body chemistry and tones the skin.
